Forever a Bridesmaid (Always a Bridesmaid Book 1)
Book starts out with a professional bridesmaid who is on her way back to Atlanta for a wedding that she's paid to be in.
She smooths over things as they come up. Due to the snow blizzard Erin meets him at the airport bar and they get to talking.
Due to the cancellation he books them rooms in a nearby hotel that is accessible via the airport. They spend the night together-Matthew on top of the covers and her underneath in the king bed as it's the only room.
She has rules and they don't include one night stands and no relations as she's too busy making money to concentrate on a date. He's an architect who's works she has noticed in the bigger cities. He's on his way to break up his brothers wedding plans before he gets married.
Coincidence: it's the same wedding they are going to...they really get along very well together and many of the same interests. Love explicit details described-makes you feel like you are seeing it for yourself. Like differences of opinions from each angle-his and hers. Never attended a wedding quite elaborate as this one with all the events that took place, was a treat to read about them all.
Liked the setting in Chicago but not sure why some words are British as they don't really belong as both are from the US and they are traveling in the US. Loved the story and as I had found out how the story came to be. Bit of adult scenes but not overpowering.

Forever a Bridesmaid Always a Bridesmaid Book 1 edition by Courtney Hunt Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

Great chick lit book a little steamy, very romantic. Erin is a professional bridesmaid / wedding problem solver. On the way to Savannah she gets stranded in Chicago with Matthew Westbrook, when their flight to Atlanta is canceled.
Matthew is recovering from a failed marriage and Erin is struggling to keep her brother in college. They are both set against a relationship. But fate intervenes, turns out that they are going to the same wedding.
The characters are likable and the book is set in beautiful Savannah.
Forever a Bridesmaid, by Courtney Hunt, is a great read. Really like the main characters, Erin, a "Professional Bridesmaid" and Matthew, well known architect. Side tracked due to weather, the two get to talk with each other. Funny and witty and you have to wonder if Matthew will try to stop his brother's wedding. A wedding that, of course, is the one Erin is going to attend in her professional capacity. Wonderful journey to love.

Received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave my review.
I really enjoyed "Forever a Bridesmaid" by Courtney Hunt. This is the first book I've read by this author and I've become a fan. I loved the characters and the writing style and the story kept my interest from the first page. I was excited to see this is part of a series and I will certainly be continuing on to the next book.
Fans of contemporary romance should add this book, this series and this author on their collections.
Happy Reading...enjoy!
A romantic comedy at its best, I thoroughly enjoyed Forever a Bridesmaid. Erin and Matthew's serendipitous meeting at O'Hare Airport sets the tone for the rest of the story. They find that they are both attending the same wedding, but with opposite goals Matthew's to stop the wedding and Erin's to ensure that nothing goes wrong. In spite of this, they are immediately attracted to one another and in the mounting turmoil of wedding preparations, they both discover a need to be together, far more than they could have ever anticipated. A little manipulation by one determined mother helps the romance along, until they hit speed bumps along the way. As a non-American, I am appalled at all the pre-wedding events. Is this standard practise in the USA? If so, most brides should approach the wedding ceremony in a state of total exhaustion! Eloping begins to sound good. I did enjoy a good chuckle, and even laughed aloud at time. An enjoyable read.
My first read from Courtney Hunt and I was so intrigued by this blurb that I couldn’t pass it by. A professional bridesmaid meets an attractive man at an airport bar. They’re snowed in and as they wait for the weather to clear, they begin to connect. After detailing Erin’s job description of making sure the weddings she is hired to attend goes smoothly, Matthew confides that he is on his way to his brother’s wedding to stop it and ensure his brother doesn’t make what he believes is a huge mistake. They become fast friends with a mix of lust thrown in between them and by the time they realise they are attending the same wedding, it is too late to stop the feelings already beginning to form between them. Can love blossom while they have completely opposite agendas? This was light, fun, sweet and enjoyable. It was a complete story with a satisfying ending. A great read and I look forward to the next book in the series.
Review of Forever a Bridesmaid
Hot Toasty Rag, November 18, 2018

Forever a Bridesmaid reminds me so much of a Hallmark Christmas movie, so if you glue yourself to the television set every December, you’ll love this light romantic comedy. It’s a quick read, entertaining, and set during the holidays. What more do you want in a romantic Christmas book?

Erin is a professional bridesmaid, someone who is hired to take care of the bridal showers and pre-wedding get-togethers, as well as keep the peace during the ceremony. With all the complex emotions that run rampant at weddings these days, a professional bridesmaid might come in handy! She’s serious about her work, but when she meets the dreamy Matt, something’s got to give. He’s the groom’s brother, and he’s intent on breaking up the engaged couple!

It’s a really cute setup, and a darling meet-cute between Erin and Matt, so if you like sweet, simple stories with a relatively clean romance, you’ll probably really enjoy reading this darling little novel. I’m keeping my copy, and I’ll be reading it again come Christmastime!
