Otherwise, I liked the development of the character interactions in the wake of the off-screen year that passed between The Becoming and Ground Zero. Looking forward to more context promised in the next book.

I have read the first two and really enjoyed the action and the story plot is pretty good. will order more from this author
I understand the life and death struggles, the fear, the roughness of the characters etc but the f-bomb on just about every page. It got old real fast. I will not purchase the rest of the series.
Wow! This was awesome. A lot I didn't expect happened. Jessica Meigs had to be one of the best authors I've read in a long damn time.
not finished with book 3 yet , but it has kept me on the edge, so far
The characters are fleshed out nicely; you get to know them and start cheering for them. The read was fast paced while staying in a straight forward complete cycle. Reading the second book now.
Overall a good story but there were several aspects of the book that really annoyed me. One of them was the character of Remy. She's very immature, childish, and reckless. She's 19 years younger than Ethan and I just found the idea of someone like Ethan being attracted to her somewhat ridiculous. I also found the way that Ethan is fighting with Gray sort of puts him at Remy 's age level. Come on. These people are fighting for their lives and Ethan fighting with another grown member of their team over a child really bothered me. I think it shows a real lack of leadership on Ethan's part because having a sexual relationship with a team member that puts him at odds with another member when they're fighting for their lives just doesn't seem realistic to me.
After I read THE BECOMING (the first book) by Jessica Meigs , I thought it was a great read and I thought the sequel would be good but not as good as the first one. Well I was way off the mark. In THE BECOMING GROUND ZERO , Im just a few pages shy of finishing this one and I had to stop and write this,which I dont usually do. This sequel starts out with Ethan and the other survivors holed up in a safehouse when they come across a woman wanting them to take her to Atlanta to the CDC.....and the rest your gonna have to read for yourself. This story is just too good to let the cat out of the bag.I downloaded this with the intent on just looking it over a little and reading it later.But once I started,I literally could not put it down.It has balls to the wall action,plenty of gore(but not too much),and suspense. A couple of this authors many gifts are characters you really get to know and care about,and suspense.I was on the edge of my seat so-to-speak throughout this whole story!!
One thing is for sure.JESSICA MEIGS is here to stay as an author.Her style of writing is smooth and will hook you from the start.I will be reading anything else she writes in the future!! I cant recommend this book high enough. READ GROUND ZERO!! YOUR IN FOR ONE HELLOVA SCARY RIDE!! IF YOURE A ZOMBIE LOVER...YOURE GONNA LOVE THESE!!
